TEACHING

After teaching high school mathematics and computer science at a public high school outside of Boston, MA, I pursued (and received!) my PhD at the Wheelock College of Education and Human Development at Boston University. I was the first graduate of the school's PhD in Educational Studies.

Currently, I am an Assistant Professor of the Practice at Vanderbilt University. It is an honor and a delight to be a part of a team that prepares undergraduates and masters students to be thoughtful teachers. I spend most of my time with the math teachers! I also work with some of the university's student dancers.

Let's Talk About Math
While I was teaching, I kept a blog in which I reflected on my practice. It has not been updated in many a moon, but it is there!

Lots of my old high school teaching materials can be found here.

Courses that I've taught include teaching methods courses and content courses for pre-service and in-service math teachers and introduction to research methods for education students.
